IBTIX is an interactive state of the art on-line community portal, developed to enable effective dialogue and communications between businesses, development agencies, et al. The portal is a confidential 'members only' environment built on the most advanced Web2.0 technology. The IBTIX networking platform is user friendly, flexible and confidential. Technically, the site is built to best practice guidelines, complying with W3C WAI (World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative). All code on the site is validated to W3C specifications. IBTIX is coded using current web standards (PHP, XHTML and CSS) with the design very much "separated" from the "content" to ensure simple updating of content and maximised accessibility.

Site visitors are able to browse the homepage and limited top level content. Beyond that, functionality is limited only to those Members & International Development Partners who have registered and are logged on. The registration process involves the creation of a "Profile" which includes contact details, a business profile, company, logo, videos, marketing/pdfs and web-link.
Members are able to "Offer Products/Services/IP" and this offer is posted on the IBTIX searchable database. Members are able to edit or delete the offer at any time. Any suitable users in the database, who have "requested" similar Products/Services/IP are automatically identified and contact encouraged.
Members are similarly equipped to "Request Products/Services/IP" through their profile page. Again, this is posted to the database. Suitable users, who have "offered" similar Products/Services/IP, are automatically identified and contact encouraged.
Members are able to search the database of both Products/Services/IP offers and requests, using a wide range of criteria. Suitable results following a "match" are displayed, and contact between the two parties encouraged. All "INITIAL" contact between members is supported by the IBTIX platform before direct contact info (telephone, email, etc.) is made accessible. Thereafter, member companies can interact directly or through the site.
The portal includes a simple news management system, and will take in RSS feeds from a number of appropriate news sources. It will also export its own RSS for others to utilise/syndicate as required. In addition, IBTIX, Members and Partner Events can be directly posted and promoted on the site.
An online community forum is provided to registered users, allowing them to contribute to discussion threads, online polls and more.
Password protected secure area for IBTIX to update content - very simple to use, with changes immediately live on the portal. The private password protected intranet enables IBTIX to share documentation, reference material, and sales material etc.
IBTIX is an acronym for International Business Technology & Innovation Exchange. Quite a mouthful and much easier to use the acronym!
